NB: Major Category Prizes will be selected from the above sections (excluding the pre-loved section). There is an option on your entry form if you would like your art work to be considered for the ‘Colours of Autumn’ prize and the ‘My Bendemeer’ prize. Art works must be in keeping with the prize theme for eligibility.

2024 Conditions of Entry

By submitting your Entry Form, you agree to bide by the following Terms and Conditions:

  1. An online ENTRY FORM must be completed and the entry fee must be paid with submission of all entry forms. (See condition 16)
    • The completed Entry Form is binding, and catalogue information will be taken only from the Entry Form. “Untitled” is not acceptable as a title and will not be catalogued, nor put on display. No alteration to the title, or price, will be accepted once submitted.
  2. CLOSING DATE for entry forms is COB Monday 15th April. Late entries will be charged a $20 entry fee and will not be listed in the catalogue.
  3. ENTRY FEES for each exhibit item are:         
    • Adult $5.00 per item
    • Junior (12 years & under) no fee
  4. The Bendemeer Art Show Committee reserves the right to reproduce any Art Show Exhibit in any form of media for the purposes of promotion of the Bendemeer Art Show. The Artist is responsible for ensuring that no relevant copyright laws are infringed.
  5. All entries must be the first time shown at the Bendemeer Art Show Art Exhibition and Sale (previously shown will be rejected).
  6. All items in the OILS & ACRYLICS, WATERCOLOURS & PASTELS and DRAWING sections must be for sale and details clearly labelled on the back with: Artist’s name, contact number, title of work, section, medium used, and price.
  7. Each Artwork and Photography Exhibit item must be supplied in the following condition:
    • Art Work – framed or mounted and fitted with wire ready to hang, and size is not to exceed 120 cm x 90 cm.
    • Photography – framed (no heavy frames), or mounted on cardboard ready to hang. No sticky tape for hooks.
    • Pre-loved works can be originals or prints. They must be framed or mounted and fitted with wire ready to hang, and size is not to exceed 120 cm x 90 cm.
  8. Every Exhibit item must be clearly marked. Please download the labels and attach one label to the back of each painting submitted. The following information is to be provided:
    • OILS & ACRYLICS – Artist name, address, phone number, sale price, title of work, method of return to owner
    • WATERCOLOURS & PASTELS – Artist name, address, phone number, sale price, title of work, method of return to owner
    • DRAWING– Artist name, address, phone number, sale price, title of work, method of return to owner
    • MIXED MEDIA & PRINTMAKING – Artist name, phone number, sale price if applicable, title of work, method of return to owner
    • SCULPTURE, 3D WORKS, AI DIGITAL & HANDCRAFT – Artist name, phone number, sale price if applicable, title of work, method of return to owner
    • TEXTILES – Artist name, phone number, sale price if applicable, title of work, method of return to owner
    • JUNIOR (12yrs & under) – Artist name, phone number, sale price if applicable, title of work, method of return to owner
    • PHOTOGRAPHY – Photographer’s name, phone number, sale price if applicable, title of work, method of return to owner
    • PHOTOGRAPHY – JUNIOR (12yrs & under)
    • PRE-LOVED – Owner’s name, phone number, sale price, title of work, method of return to owner
      • NB: Pre-loved art works are NOT eligible for prizes.
  9. A Sales commission of 20% will be charged on all sales made during the Art Show (except Junior category exhibits) so please price your work accordingly.
  10. The Bendemeer Art Show Committee will take all possible care with Exhibits; but
    • will not pay for the transport or insurance of exhibit items consigned to the Art Show; and
    • cannot accept liability for any loss, damage or breakage incurred during transit or whilst on display at the Art Show.
  11. Any matter relating to GST is the responsibility of the entrant.
  12. Only entries received by the closing deadlines will be catalogued. All catalogue information will be taken from the entry form.
  13. RETURN OF EXHIBITS:
    • Method of return for unsold entries must be clearly indicated on your entry form.
    • Any cost necessary for return by Australia Post or Courier must be included with your entry form, including a clear return address.
    • Sufficient packaging must be included with the entry to ensure secure wrapping for return where necessary.
    • Collection in person available at the close of the Art Show only after 4pm on Sunday, 5th May, and must be checked out via the front door only. All entries must be accounted for.
      • NB: Priority checkout will be given to purchases. Unsold artworks can only be collected after sold items have been distributed.
    • Collection in person after the closing date of the Art Show shall be available at the Bendemeer Town Hall on Monday 6th May between 10 am and 3 pm.

  15. Any unsold Exhibit that is not collected after six (6) weeks from the closing date of the Art Show will become the property of the Bendemeer Art Show Committee.
  16. PAYMENT OF ENTRY FEES:
    • Direct Deposit (Name: Bendemeer Art Show Committee, BSB 932-000, Account 100305569; Reference: “YOUR NAME”); Or
    • Cheque/money order; payable to “Bendemeer Art Show” and posted to P.O. Box 756 Bendemeer 2355
  17. Colours of Autumn Art Show is hosted and catered by the Bendemeer Country Women’s Association.
